The Regional Director is responsible for overseeing aspects of the festival’s operations within the Caribbean region. This role involves managing artistic, administrative, and logistical elements to ensure the successful planning and execution of the festival.
– Direct regional film festival participation alongside the Festival Director
– Develop and implement a strategic plan for organizing the P48FF on various islands within the Caribbean.
– Establish and maintain relationships with officials in the region.
– Manage all aspects of festival operations in the designated region
– Work with the marketing team to execute marketing and promotional strategies in the region
– Foster relationships with local and regional media outlets
– Identify and secure sponsorship opportunities in coordination with the Director of Development.
– Develop and maintain relationships with local sponsors and partners.
– Recruit, train, and manage local festival teams and volunteers in each city.
– Provide guidance and support to ensure teams are well-prepared for the festival events
– Coordinate the promotion of the festival within the region to attract filmmakers and participants.
– Communicate with participating filmmakers to answer questions and provide guidance on the competition rules and guidelines.
– Previous experience in event planning, film festivals, or a related field
– Strong organizational and project management skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Knowledge of the local film community and industry
– Marketing and promotional expertise
– Budget management experience
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
